My goodness! I hope Tripa will be saved. Not only is it being destroyed, but the future of mankind is. How can those people be so blind???
It will be, we wont accept otherwise.
the petition has started making impact and help pushing for political support – dont forget to sign and share!

I understand the President has been bombarded with petitions and pleas to save Tripa,so much so he has been suffering ‘headaches’!As much as I wish no ill on any living thing,I wonder how he thinks those poor Orangutans have been feeling while their forests burn around them & their babies are ripped away from them and then they are slaughtered or tortured by the MONSTERS that work at the toxic plantations. The criminal activity that is taking place right under the governments nose cannot be justified & the ‘people’ involved must be held accountable for their actions.I do believe the petition will make a difference-there is too much at stake for it to be ignored. The determination by heroes like you guys must count for something musn’t it?But how long will it take before something is done?Surely every second counts? Why does everything take so long? The Orangutans are running out of time…..
I agree completely with Judy. All the concerned people I know are in shock that Tripa is still burning. How many more orangutans have to die before the world and the authorities in Indonesia DO SOMETHING to stop this extermination?!!
The way that the term “disappeared” as in “orangutans have disappeared” is bandied about these days makes me furious. Why don’t they just state the truth and say: MURDERED!?
Seems to me that the Palm Oil companies already know and work on the principle it’s far easier to ask forgiveness than it is to ask for permission.
I just hope I don’t hear some palm oil tycoon say soon: I’m so sorry all the orangutans in Tripa have disappeared. Had we known, we never would’ve cleared the land for the multi-millions now in our pockets.
Disgusting. To think of the horror all the wildlife is experiencing through deforestation across the world is almost too much to bear. Almost but not quite. I’ll never shut up about it!
The petitions are going to work-the news that the Military HAVE been involved in the protection of the Palm oil Company illegally destroying Tripa, the denial of authorities, the ignorance of other officials all gives credence to the cause. There has been so much hard work done to preserve what is left of Tripa,it is unthinkable to say that it will fail. The Governor of Aceh must now see there is no other way to go-he has to have the permits revoked, the PO companies penalised & made to compensate for their illegal activities. There are too many influences that will make this impossible to be dismissed…..I have high hopes for a positive result(which must come soon surely?!)I have confidence that this will have a happy ending-I am not being naïve,I know Indonesia is in a different league when it comes to laws, corruption, legislations & fairness but I truly believe that the fight fot Tripa will be won…..Time will tell, soon I hope?
